Professional dog-walker Stephanie Woolley was looking to turn the land around her house into a dog park. She knew she’d need an eye-catching website with a booking function, so she contacted GreatSite 4U – and she was thrilled with the result!
This summer, Stephanie Woolley, a professional dog-walker based in Mow Cop, Staffordshire, picked up the phone and called Nick Jones, the owner of GreatSite 4U. Stephanie had an exciting vision: transforming the land around her home in Mow Cop into a dedicated dog park called Freedom for Paws. Already passionate about her career with dogs, Stephanie wanted to expand her business alongside her partner Chris.
She shared how her journey with dogs began with Alfie, her 13-year-old rescue dog and loyal companion. Alfie had been through a tough year, overcoming a cancer diagnosis and surgery. His triumphant recovery – crowned by winning the Golden Oldie award at the Smallwood Vintage Rally fun dog show – was the inspiration behind Stephanie’s career. “If it wasn’t for him,” she said, “I wouldn’t have gone into a career with dogs. You could say Alfie’s the founder of my dog walking business and therefore Freedom for Paws!”
As a dog lover himself, Nick was immediately on board, recognising the need for an engaging, user-friendly website to support the new business. He met with Steph and Chris at their home and discussed everything that he could do to help, not just in terms of the website itself but also setting up the business email, registering the domain and picking a suitable WordPress plugin for the all-important online booking function.

Steph and her partner Chris gave Nick the go-ahead and a month later, the website was born. He built a vibrant WordPress site incorporating the Amelia booking plugin to allow dog owners to schedule visits seamlessly. The site also features heartwarming photos of Alfie, injecting his personality into the site and ensuring Stephanie’s back story is front and centre.

Within just a few months of launching, Freedom for Paws has gained a loyal customer base, with regular bookings from dog owners across Cheshire and Staffordshire who appreciate the safe, fun environment Stephanie and Chris have created for their furry friends.
